KiSS CE is automated Collection and Encoding program.
The Aim is to make the Unix media server an extention to the KiSS player, dealing with the trivial tasks of encoding the movies and providing edit options from a desktop (Windows or other) via filesharing like samba or NFS are installed.
Once encoded videos are ready, you can use the kissdx program to streem the movie back to the KiSS player.
KiSS CE mainly dose two things:
- It creates an encoder queue (folder) where you can put your videos that needs encoding/compression
- It collects the video files from your KiSS player at night (configurable) via FTP.
All very configurable.
