Firmware(1.1.4) Upgrade procedure for KiSS 1600:
Kindly follow the procedure given below to upgrade/reflash the firmware on your player:
Automatic Update:
- Go to the Setup menu (click Setup on the player’s remote control)
- Go to the Miscellaneous Settings (select the Settings icon)
- Choose the Firmware Update option
And follow the screen mesaages
(note: after the upgrade the player needs to be rebooted/power-cycled for at least 30 seconds)
Note:-After upgrading the firmware and rebooting the player (please remember to turn off the player for at least 30 seconds after the upgrade) the Quick Setup is being launched and the previously set parameters (those that were set before the update) are not erased.
Update using CD :
- Download the latest version of firmware upgrade for the player
- Note that the firmware file will download to your PC as a compressed *.zip file. You need to decompress it so that to obtain a *.iso firmware file.
- Now you need to burn a CD with the *.iso firmware file (you may use here Nero Burning Rom software, which is available now in the 7.0 version)
- When the firmware CD is ready insert it in the player’s drive, and keep the drive open
- Power off the player (unplug the power cable)
- Press and hold the Play/Pause button on the front of the player
- Power on the player (plug the power cable again) and turn it on from the remote control, while holding the Play/Pause button
- The firmware CD will automatically boot and start the firmware update (the firmware update page will appear - now you may release the Play/Pause button)
- Wait for the update to finish, and then reboot/power-cycle the player
- After restarting your player you will be return to the Quick Setup
(note: after the upgrade the player needs to be rebooted/power-cycled for at least 30 seconds)
